"Berne Union High School will definitely take on a new look this school year.  A district-wide effort has been over a year in the making to transform the grades 9-12 high school into a 7-12 high school.  The old middle school format of grades 5-8 is no longer a part of the three building make-up within our district.  With all the transition of staff, students and curriculum taking place, I feel we have managed to accomplish a seamless program that will benefit our students and educational program.  

My name is Steve House and I have been the middle school principal for the past two years.  I have now taken over as the new 7-12 high school principal, as Bob Starr has retired from education.  Mr. Starr has provided a solid educational program at BUHS for the last 15 years and is much deserving of his retirement.  With the help of parents and community, I believe we can continue to build on the the many accomplishments and school pride here at Berne Union.  Please join with me and our staff as we transition our schools into a new era of educational challenges."
